2D1N Malacca trip

Wow, Malacca has evolved so much.

The last time I went was around 8 years ago, it was a very quiet town then. Tourists usually go there to see the old churches and pre-war historic attractions. Now there are so much things to do in Malacca. You can shop at the mega shopping malls (there's 3 big ones, if I remember correctly). You can also try their local foods along the busy streets. Malacca is famous for their chicken rice balls and Chendol. And of course, you must visit the night markets at Jonker Street. There are just so many things to see and buy! I love their variety of slippers and hats. My husband bought a pair of slippers for me, which is a shape of a lady bug when both are joined together.

Our local trishaw riders should decorate up their trishaws too. The ones at Malacca were so colourful and interesting!

I wish this world is bugs-free

Recently our house became a victim of bed bugs. Yes, even if your house is super sanitized and dust-free. Even if you mop the floor with concentrated dettol and spray your house everyday with insecticides. Even if you change your bedsheets every alternate day, you will still find those annoying bugs pester and lurk around you.

Nobody know how the infestation started. But as usual, we are always the ones who get the blame.

"Come back home always dun wash your feet."

"So sweaty and dirty still lie on the bed without showering first."

"Always eat food in the room."

Yada yada yada....

I bet she don't know that bed bugs can crawl. They can hide in second-hand furniture, cardboards, wooden planks, old newspapers and clothings. And her favourite past-time happens to be collecting paraphernalia.

I bet she also do not know that bed bugs also can lurk around in luggages and travel all around the world. Living in a home like ours who provides temporary shelter to those international domestic helpers all year round, they can jolly well be the ones who brought our best friends into our home.

For the past few days after the discovery, I have been inspecting all the possible harbourages for bed bugs in my room again and again, and again to make sure my room is bed-bugs free. But I am still losing sleep because I couldn't ignore the awful feeling that the bugs might be crawling all over me. The worse thing is, we are sleeping on the floor. Yucks.

My new bed is arriving this Friday. Hopefully my nightmare will end once and for all.

Latest update

Eh, Typepad just charge a bill of USD$49.50 to my credit card without informing me that they are renewing my account automatically. So annoying.

It means this blog will be left rotting in cyberspace for another year because I won't be able to get any refund if I choose to delete my blog now. Tsk tsk tsk....

So now I have a 2010 new year resolution in mind - to keep this blog active and maintain it religiously. So visitors, please come back more often to check out the hottest happenings in my life (I wonder how long I can last though).

It's already announced that the civil service bonus for this year is 25% of their monthly pay, with a maximum cap at $750.

Even before I can smell the money, I had already spent more than what I'll be getting on 12 December.

What did I spend on ah? $200 on Xmas gifts, $200 on clothes, $350 on LeSportSac bags, $150 on Laine's Papeterie stuffs (gonna do some customised calenders and photo albums for my husband and LA auntie), $300 on MORE CLOTHES.

My husband will prolly kill me if he ever read this. And if YOU did - please forgive me. You know I only buy new clothes like once a year..... :) 

Account expiring

My typepad account is going to expire in a week.

Times are bad, and I am wondering if I should continue subscribing to their services.

Hardly blog these days, and those numerous Facebook applications is more than enough to keep me occupied.

Oh yes. I thought I can't survive without Maple Story. But I did not log in the game for half a year already.

I amaze myself sometimes.

Forgotten password

After missing in action for a few months, I finally can login to my blog again.

Must be age catching up on me. Started to forget, even the simple, everyday stuffs.

Oh gosh.

Curious

I know of someone who often flashes her grandma panties (incidentally or not, I donch know) and I was so tempted to find out why this person keeps wearing her panties the wrong way.

Could it be -

a) she dresses herself in the dark
b) she wear her panties on one side today, turns over and wear the other side the next day *gasps*
c) she thinks it's a form of fashion

But you know, there are certain things that you shouldn't ask even though you are curious to death, especially those that you do not know very well.

My baby is a baby

看着我的宝贝跟一群小朋友在圣淘沙赛玩具车和在乌敏岛采榴莲的时候，就知道他是一个永远长不大的孩子。

他的快乐是那么的简单。

每一次去游泳池晒太阳时，都好希望自己可以年轻15岁!

这年代的帅弟弟实在是太多了，看到我眼花眼花缭乱，心花怒放!

真可惜我已经老了，身材走样，又结了婚，没资格跟弟弟们搭讪。

只能偷偷瞄一瞄, 哈哈哈。。。

7 years

前几天刚刚庆祝了我们的结婚纪念日。

也没什么特别庆祝啦。吃了一顿我最喜爱的麦当劳早餐已足够了。

武则天身体不舒服，我的口袋破了一个大洞，阿佬的工作也不顺利。

真的是坏事接二联三得来。。。。

时间过得真是快啊.

一转眼，我们两已做了七年的夫妻 (还是冤家呢? 哈哈!)

每天吵吵闹闹，我们还是在一起。真是个奇迹。

从现在开始要对老公好一点了，七年之痒的弊病是不可忽视得!

Lost time

今天回家的路上，为了要赶搭巴士，我奔跑了两百米。

快要喘死了。

以前年轻的时候，我从来都不追巴士。总是想着，

"没关系，等下一辆吧! 反正时间还很多。"

可能是觉得自己老了，每一分，每一秒都很真贵。

想早点回家，快点做好该做的事。不想在浪费时间。哈哈!

岁月真的是不饶人啊。。。
